The prettiest thing I ever made...

I am completely smitten with this shawl. I had to crochet part of it and everything - but I am totally in love.

It's always fun to complete a lace project and block it. It starts out as an indistinct clump, but a few days pinned to the guest bed and the result is delicate, open lace.

And by "always fun," I mean that I've done it twice.

But I'm pretty sure this is love.

The pattern is Haruni. The yarn is Yarn Chef's Bouillabaisse, color: Sage Brush. Knitting it took about two months. Two months that were totally worth it.

Love.

  2. I just finished my Haruni! Well, all except the BO. But that takes brain cells and right now- I has none. I did mine in Malabrigo Sock. I really hope it turned out as nice as yours.

  3. Thank you both! I am feeling quite vain about it.

Dor - I can't wait to see yours! I'll bet it is amazing in Malabrigo. The BO isn't that bad. I did the crochet one and (after consulting YouTube to remember how to crochet), it was pretty quick. It takes a ton of pins to block all the little loops. Promise to post pictures!!

  4. I will! I'm hoping to finish it and block it tonight so I can wear it for the rehearsal dinner tomorrow. I remember how to chain, and I think that's all I need to know.... all other crochet skills have been long lost in favor of knitting.
